            ~Lone Mother Wolf~

Lone Mother Wolf stands firm, on the mountain side.

Her paws planted within the snow crest.

Winter has begun to spit his warnings at Lone Mother Wolf.

      Warnings of harsh winds ahead.

He spreads his white blanket of snow on the land.

Lone Mother Wolf stands firm, on the mountain side.

Lone Mother Wolf stands firm, on the mountaintop.

Her glistening white fur blows in the harsh wind.

Winter has begun to exhale sharply his freezing breath.

He creates snow drifts on the mountain side.

Lone Mother Wolf sways with each chilling harsh wind.

Her claws dig into the ground.

Lone Mother Wolf stands firm, on the mountaintop.

Lone Mother Wolf stands firm, on the mountain side

Each step brings closer the feeling of being home.

Her howl resounds over the vast landscape.

Fierce winter wind screams through the air.

His voice overbearing the yip-yap of little ones calling from their den

Lone Mother Wolf stands firm, on the mountain side.

Lone Mother Wolf stands firm, on the mountain side.

She reaches for one more step.

      Fierce winter wind relaxes

Trembling and weak, Lone Mother Wolf surrenders to the bitter cold.

      She howls her defeat.

      A journey treked has ended.

      Winter once more claims life.

Lone Mother Wolf stood firm, on the mountain side.
